Dynamics 365 Commerce: Label printing in Store Commerce
New label printing capability in Store Commerce enables retail associates to print product labels on demand or from headquarters-initiated requests. Administrators must configure label formats and printer settings in Commerce headquarters to support store-level printing operations.
Microsoft's description
This feature provides label printing in Store Commerce. Store associates print labels in the store, either on demand or from a label print request sent by Commerce headquarters when prices or promotions change. Headquarters is where administrators configure label formats and the printers available to each store, and where headquarters users create and release those requests. The first release covers three stages. Set up in Commerce headquarters. An administrator defines label formats in the label format designer, reusing a retailer's existing label designs or creating new ones so labels carry the product information that retailer needs. Administrators also configure the label printers available to each store, including more than two printers on the same hardware profile. Create label print requests. A headquarters user selects products and variants, sets the label type and number of copies for each line, chooses the stores to send to, and releases the request. A request can cover a single product or a full list, and one store or many. Print in Store Commerce. An associate opens a released request, reviews the lines, adjusts label types and copy counts, and prints the labels needed now. Associates can also print on demand by finding a product through scan or search, printing all variants or selecting one, and sending it to a configured label printer.
