Dynamics 365 Commerce: Show ATP and transfer lead time in Dynamics 365 Commerce inventory lookup

A new feature is being added to Dynamics 365 Commerce that integrates available-to-promise (ATP) data and transfer lead times in inventory lookup, enabling store associates to view product availability across locations and estimated delivery dates. When generally available, admins may need to configure transfer lead-time master data synchronization and ensure proper integration with Inventory Visibility and Supply Chain Management.

Microsoft's description

Store and trade-counter associates often need to source items from another store or warehouse and tell the customer when the item will arrive. This feature brings available-to-promise (ATP) data from Inventory Visibility together with transfer lead times in Store Commerce, so associates can choose the best location and set accurate delivery dates. This feature includes: ATP and estimated arrival in inventory lookup: View ATP quantities and dates across locations, plus the estimated arrival date at the current store if a transfer order is created. Sort and filter results to find the best option. ATP-by-date view: Drill into ATP by date for a selected location. Check forward (when the requested quantity can arrive) or backward (which locations can meet the requested quantity by a target date). Transfer order estimated arrival: When you create a transfer order from POS, the estimated arrival date is calculated from transfer lead times (per mode of delivery, or the warehouse-pair default) and is recalculated when the ship date or mode of delivery changes. Lead-time data in the channel: Transfer lead-time master data is synchronized from Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management to the channel database through Commerce Data Exchange (CDX). Headless ATP and transfer lead-time API on Commerce Scale Unit: A new channel-agnostic API returns ATP together with transfer-order estimated arrival dates in a single call, so Store Commerce, e-commerce storefronts, and first- or third-party headless channels can all use the same source of truth.
