Dynamics 365 Commerce: Guide shoppers through an intuitive self-checkout flow
New self-checkout flow capabilities for Dynamics 365 Commerce enable enhanced shopper guidance, configurable assistance, and register-specific settings across Store Commerce devices. Admins must enable the feature in Feature management and configure the self-checkout experience through a visual profile assigned to designated registers.
Microsoft's description
Guide shoppers with clearer self-checkout flows, configurable assistance, and register-specific settings across supported Store Commerce devices. Store Commerce guides shoppers from item entry through payment and completion on Windows, web, iOS, and Android. The experience includes: Customer and loyalty prompts that can attach an active linked loyalty card. Back and Home navigation from category and search views. A persistent call-for-assistance panel and authorized inline actions after manager sign-in. An optional self-checkout app bar with Call for help, Language, visual styling, and extensible custom actions. Inactivity warnings that safely end unpaid transactions, retain an audit record, and request assistance instead of voiding after payment is captured. Administrators enable Retail self-checkout in Feature management. In headquarters, they configure any new experience through a visual profile that can be assigned to the Self checkout registers.
