Retailers can protect their profitability without slowing down store operations. Sales associates can still adjust prices to close a sale. Any change that would push an item below the allowed margin goes to a manager for review, so discounting decisions stay controlled and consistent. With this feature, Unified Pricing Management checks every price override and manual discount against margin thresholds set in the pricing parameters. If a change would exceed the allowed limit, Store Commerce (POS) asks a manager to approve it before the transaction can continue. The same margin checks are available through pricing APIs, so external channels can apply the same guardrails.
