OneDrive: Exclude specific folders from syncing
OneDrive will gain the ability to exclude specific folders from syncing on Windows and Mac clients. Admins can define organizational exclusion rules to prevent developer tooling and other local-only folders from uploading to the cloud.
Action required: Review and plan folder exclusion policies for your organization to prevent unwanted local folders from syncing to OneDrive.

OneDrive for Windows and Mac will let users exclude specific folders from syncing, so folders that do not belong in the cloud, such as developer tooling folders like PowerShell modules, Visual Studio configuration, and node modules, stay local on the device instead of uploading to OneDrive. Administrators can define folder exclusion rules for their organization.
