Microsoft Edge: Changes to local IP address detection for proxy auto-config (PAC) scripts
Microsoft Edge is changing the local IP address selection for PAC scripts to match Chromium defaults. Administrators can override these defaults using new policies if their network routing configurations require different probe destinations.
Action required: Review network PAC script configurations and consider whether PacMyIpAddressIPv4ProbeAddress or PacMyIpAddressIPv6ProbeAddress policies are needed to maintain current network routing behavior.
Microsoft's description
Microsoft Edge is changing how it selects the local network address reported to proxy auto-config (PAC) scripts and is adding administrator control over it. The default IPv4 and IPv6 probe destinations now match Chromium’s defaults. Administrators can override these defaults using the PacMyIpAddressIPv4ProbeAddress and PacMyIpAddressIPv6ProbeAddress policies when required by their network routing.
