Microsoft Forms: Enable Sensitivity Labels

Forms authors will gain the ability to manually assign sensitivity labels to forms and responses, with automatic inheritance by exported Excel files. This enables granular access control and consistent data protection across Forms and downstream exports.

Action required: Review and configure sensitivity label policies to ensure Forms authors can appropriately classify forms and responses; verify Excel export inheritance behavior aligns with organizational requirements.

Microsoft's description

Microsoft Forms will enable sensitivity labels, empowering organizations to control access and manage information protection directly within Forms. Authors and co-authors will be able to manually assign or edit sensitivity labels on forms, ensuring that only users with appropriate permissions can access form design and response pages. Sensitivity labels will also be inherited by Excel files generated from Forms, maintaining consistent data protection across exported content.
