Microsoft Purview DLP now supports Administrative Units for Copilot and Cowork policies, allowing delegated management to scoped administrators without tenant-wide permissions. This is optional; existing tenant-wide policies remain in effect.

Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention is extending Administrative Units support to Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Chat, and Cowork. This enables organizations to delegate management of supported Copilot DLP policies to administrators within their assigned Administrative Units, supporting regional, departmental, and regulatory boundaries without granting tenant-wide policy-management permissions. Existing tenant-wide policies continue to apply, and configuration is optional for organizations choosing to use Administrative Unit (AU)-scoped management.
