Dynamics 365 Business Central: Supply Chain Management - Reduce manual work in quality tests and inspections
Microsoft's description
Business Value The Quality Management extension helps you include quality checks in receiving, production, assembly, and inventory processes. We improved several parts of the experience so that inspectors and quality managers can complete routine tasks with fewer interruptions. These improvements reduce manual work when you record inspection outcomes, make inventory disposition easier to complete, and provide clearer guidance when a quality inspection blocks a transaction. Details Choose whether to assign an inspection to yourself When you edit an eligible unassigned quality inspection, Business Central asks whether you want to take ownership of it. The notification provides the following choices: Assign to myself assigns the inspection to you. Ignore leaves the inspection unassigned. Calculate passed and failed quantities automatically When you finish an inspection, Quality Management automatically records the inspected quantity as Passed Quantity when the result is acceptable, or as Failed Quantity for another result. The calculation uses Sample Size , or Quantity (Base) when no sample size is specified. Select destination bins when moving inspected inventory Quality Management workflows provide more control when a disposition moves inspected inventory. You can specify the movement method, quantity basis, destination location, and destination bin. Assisted bin selection helps you choose a valid destination for the movement. Resolve blocked transactions from the responsible inspection When a quality inspection prevents a transaction, such as sale or consumption, the error includes details about the inspection that caused the block. You can open the responsible inspection directly from the error and review or complete it before trying the transaction again. Apply quality rules and permissions consistently Quality Management validates inspection assignments and enforces quality rules consistently, including operations performed through indirect or implicit access. These checks help preserve the intended inspection and transaction controls without requiring broader permissions than the task needs.
